cAMP/PKA pathway activation is frequently involved in endocrine tumors with overactivity. The Carney complex (CNC) is an autosomal dominant multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome which associates cardiac myxomas, spotty skin pigmentation and endocrine overactivity.
